Do not shed
Textiles of sheep wool often shed and create small wool bubbles, known as pilling. This is due to the uneven fibres, which tend to cling to each other. However, the structure of the fibers of the alpaca is very smooth and even so the textiles of alpaca wool do not shed.
Depending on the weaving technique used textiles manufactures of alpaca wool will not shed and create small wool bubbles.
